Fair play to him, deserves every penny IMO. :y

Fair play to him, footballists get payouts like that every week, now if you're talking about obscene pay packets....
-
I suppose what he got paid is the going rate for what he does, same as footballists and everyone else.
I struggle to see how hitting a small white ball with a stick can generate such interest and therefore cash, but thats just me. ::)

No, it's me too, actually.
Good excuse for BMW-driving middle managers to skive off work for the afternoon, where they do less damage, of course, but other than that... ::)

And when its televised......grass,grass, sky, sky, sky, sky, grass, grass - sometimes you can catch a glimpse of the litlle white ball. ::) ;D

Footballers, golfers over paid under worked and need to get a life and do a real job. >:( >:( they should do it for the love of sport and normal pay :y

Golf may not be the best spectator sport, but having tried it, the level of skill these guys and girls have is incredible.
But same as any top sportsman. That they deserve such wages may or may not be questionable.
However Mr Clarke suffered the loss of his wife to cancer(I believe) just prior to the rider cup. Which after much contemplation and thoughts of retirement, he played in, and somehow helped the European team in no small degree to a Great Win.
It was emotional, as I recall.
He refuses to move on from the memory of his wife reportedly, and I must say to see he had won the open bought a wee tear to my eye. Bless him.
Not often are the deserving rewarded it seems.
Anyway. Warmed me cockles. Fair play to DC. :y
