Well if it only takes a week to fix then they are doing well.
Those rubber fuel tanks are huge!

I saw it at Riat this year, when it took off I thought they were going to roll it!

A long long time ago, in a different life, I was a member of the Nimrod Air Display crew. We were at RAF Waddington with every other type of RAF aircraft to carry out displays for the Air Defence College. While honing our steely skills playing uckers in in the crew mess on the practise day, a messenger appeared in the mess asking for the Captain of the Vulcan. A Sqn/Ldr got up and, trying unsuccessfully to hide his pride at being identified as such in this august company, left the mess with the messenger. He reappeared 5 minutes later, ashen faced, he and his crew were ordered by the Station Commander to clean the Vulcan! It was very difficult for the rest of us to maintain our well practised sympathetic faces.
Oh happy days, brings a smile to my face when I think of it. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

June 16th 1975, according to my log book, only the memory has played me tricks as it was RAF Marham, not Waddington.
Nice video, you might also like this one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av0E-RH31NQ which features my old pal Dave 'Boots' Hencken, at that time OC 8 Sqn., who sadly died recently. :y
