Title: Sometimes I feel very, very, very humble
Post by: TheBoy on 11 September 2011, 19:03:30
I do, of course, refer to (in no order), JoshWyatt, Lazydocker (ex-member ::)), chrisgixer, tunnie, Mrs Cakey and non-member Mrs chrisgixer.

When a well laid plan all went to pot yesterday, these people scramble into action, phoning around, driving here, there and everywhere to pick bits up, and in one case having to fly, to save the day.  One of those said members had also been unwell the night before, yet stayed all day grafting - a fact I didn't find out until later.

Laying in bed last night, especially after hearing the full saga of events from Mrs TB (again, unaware of some of it) I may have even had an emotional moment about it all.  Or maybe that was because my foot is in agony.

I am truely humbled, and feel blessed to have such friends.  I hope I can begin to repay some of the favours at some point soon. When my foot doesn't hurt.

THANK YOU.

Well done all! :y

That's the spirit of OOF that another forum member and I were discussing today over a cambelt.  Well done to all involved.

The sore foot suggests a car related problem, do tell  ;)

The OOF site is a community, full of great characters, who spend their time helping other OOF members, I appreciate this and this is one of the major reasons I really enjoy making posts on the website.

Good on you all those that were able to help TheBoy, you are all a great credit to society and to humanity as a whole, well done.  :y :y :y

Long may the spirit of the OOF website continue and let it be an inspiration to society as a whole.  :y :y :y

It was a bit of a "Challenge Anika" type day.... logistics.....?  That was all down to H, the Dockers and Josh.

I was in bed catching up on some Kip. Although It has to be said, given the disastrous start ,it worked out perfectly in the end, considering. ESP given your foot.  ;D

Team work... There's no "I" in team.  ;D  :y

Lazy boy is bloody handy reversing a trailer BTW.  :o

...and as for that JoshWyatt, well he's just showing off isn't he!  ;D  ;)  a bloody helicopter for Christ sake.  :o

Your only jealous, you can't land a helicopter in Reading, now Sandhurst, Blackbush or Farnborough is a different matter or even Reading FC, it might even score a goal (more likely an own one  ::) :o :D)...  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Okay... now fitting an exhaust to a tree is a bit excessive isn't it?

It was no problem. We had a good weekend. He was very unhappy that he had to fill up with LPG at the BP :o And then got worse economy delivering the trailer back than the RR got towing it up loaded :o Although that may be something to do with the hurry we were in.

Glad you got things sorted (eventually) even if it was a little stressful

At the end of the day, that's what friends do... Help each other :y

But He is asking if he qualifies to have his account reinstated now ::) ;D

Tell me more about the Silver Elite without the bumper....

I think I know who owned it and where it resided, If i'm correct is the rear exhaust back box the one I think it is and would someone like to sell it?

Ta!  :)

I can feel an Omega Swapshop taking shape, when TBE meets the recognised suspension, braking, LPG etc etc specification i'll drop mine round to have the upgrades installed over a couple of months and use TBE as the 'OOF loan car / Demonstrator'  :y

Deal?

I found Josh,s helicopter element of the tale highly impressive indeed. ::) :y 8-)
It would have been even moreso if he had been able to summon up a Chinook to pick the car up and set it down on Tunnies drive. ;D ;D
