hot & dry summer was correct but 3500 kms far from UK ;D

Exactly right, everybody panics over long-range weather forecasts but if they're ever anywhere near right, it's a complete coincidence ;D

At least that resembles some sort of order, the way it used to be - for a while we were getting warm rain in summer and cold rain in winter. A few years back, I remember when it rained every day for 100 days in a row...

...or was that just in Wales? :P

I went to pentland landrover last week for parts and they were selling snow chains for 4x4 :o :o ;D well anyone who can't use a landy shouldn't buy one.
