my mate of over 20 years died this morning after battling throat cancer for just over a year.
he had chemo a while back and for a couple of months was a bit better but in the last 6 weeks it really took hold and he passed away at 5.15 this morning.
havnt cried for a long time, i did today. gonna miss him. :'(

Sorry to hear that, my mate passed away last week and I cried big time, a few medicinal glasses in his honour may help tonight.

In my life I've lost three close friends in seperate tragic accidents ,none of which they were responsible for.
It's a dreadful thing to happen to you and all I can suggest is try be a pillar of strength for the immediate family members and help them get through the next week as best you can.
In quiet moments you'll reflect fondly on that friendship and continue to do so for the rest of your life ,I still do even after 27 years .
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your friends family.

My deepest sympathies to both you and his family... I know exactly how you're feeling as I had the same news (although an accident, not the dreaded C) just over a year ago :'(
Still miss him now and still can't bring myself to remove his number from my phone or remove him from my friends list on Facebook :'(

Cancer is a curse that affects us all in some way. Cam your friend is now in peace, be strong and remember the good times. ;)
