Title: Are VX talking bull? (surely not..!)
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 04 June 2009, 20:13:22
I need 4 doughty washers for coolant bridge,

"Sorry sir - we used to sell them seperately, but now you can only buy them with the bridge, which comes to over £60 in total...."

He was absolutely adamant I won't get them seperately.

I will use pattern parts, before I spend £60 on a coolant bridge!!!!

Is he talking crap? Anyone got a part number I can shove at him?  ;D  :y

Someone else asked this question the other day.

Part number that Albs has quoted is correct and yes you can buy them without the bridge!!

Usual Vx crap!  :-? ::)

What I would do now James is go into the parts dept and ask him how sure he is you can't get the dowty washers on their own and tell him if he's wrong its going to cost him a kick in the nuts ;D

That crap dealer in Milton Keynes always says same thing.

The useless muppets insisted to me yesterday that they no longer supply the aircon 'dust' caps.

had similar with the check strap washer. In front of a large queue he insisted it could only be had with the field service kit, or whatever its called, when i gave him the part number and he came back with 4 of them he went bright red in front of 5 giggling customers. Hes a bit more cautious now.... :-)
