Title: badge removal

does anyone know how the vauxhall badge on the handle of a preface like is held on?

is there pins or just glue?

i know the estate has 2 locating lugs & double sided sticky [trim tape] on the black & silver type badge but not sure on saloons :-/

I assume you mean the chrome one?  Sticky pads & three plastic lugs, easy to slice off with a cheese wire.

Debadged mine recently (now badged as Opel all round inside and out) and I found the easiest way was to pour very very hot (not boiling) water over the badge.

That softens the glue enough for them to just then gently prise off with a credit card (American Express will do nicely)

think it might just stay on now tho as there will be holes left from the locating pins.

but if i get a rear spoiler when getting it sprayed i mite ask nicely uf hed touch in the handle if i put a bit of filler over the holes

how about poppin a Holden one on?
