How do you work that out.

70 litres = 15.4 gallons (imperial)

Given 3/4 of that was used thats around 11.55 gallons used.

Which for 270 miles is 23.5mpg which is really piss poor!

tax only goes up for 51 plate onwards,  all pre Y reg are limited to £220 a year or so.

the 51 plate to 06 plates are on a carbon scheme,
most is about 250 i think

and the 06 onwards will be the collosal ones for 3 and 4 litre cars.

if in doubt, pop to local dvla office and ask them for an up to date table of charges.

i am going next week so will ask for one then.

It's a 2003 so Tax is "only" £215 this year (http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?pageid=Vehicle+Enquiry&portletid=VehicleEnquiry&portletns=VehicleEnquiry_en&wfevent=link.next)
According to CO2 emission (248g/Km)  and DVLA website, next year it will go up to £245 (Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_172916

took a look at the mig in question, while it was a nice car and sounded well, i think there are better ones out there, so i will stick to the plastic car for a while and be patient, may even look for a diesle or lpg verrsion, i preferably want a cdx if i opt for petrol or lpg,
