Title: Z16XE cambelt change
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 21 June 2009, 12:54:04
Anything to watch out for? Looks straighforwards enough.

Crank pulley looks like it has a bolt in the Centre, rather than seperate ones like Omega. Is there a "proper" way to lock the engine, to remove this?

Car's never had a cambelt in 80k  :-? ::) so will have to be the first job  ;D

I think they do 100k on the belts (that may be an Astra H  mind you).

It's 40k if it's a 16v 80k if 8v.
100k is astra H, they're pretty straight forward  :y

Pretty sure this one is 40k / 4 years, as per the usual VX's?  ::)
