opel scanner seems favourite for mine. But the Mrs has a vag car (polo) as do other family members, will it deal with other makes to a similar level? live data on ABS would be especially handy on the polo. The Volvo has gone, thank god, so dont need that read. BMW would be handy as well if poss. Any recommendations?
There is also the danger i will do more harm than good with one of these things if its fairly advanced. Having said that, i found snap on generic reader extremaly basic, frustratingly so in fact, i guess that goes with the generic territory?

For VAG, VAGCOM without any shadow of doubt. Not the easiest to use, but does read EVERYTHING (though don't read airbags unless necessary - some VAG cars have a firmware fault that screws the ECU during diagnostics)

main requirement will be for the omega. For which is was thinking "My Naff Code Reader". Vag will get little use once ABS is sorted. Obviously would be nice if "My Naff Code Reader" did vag live data? Dont suppose thats possible? Cant really justify the price of both.
