Title: 4k rpm
Post by: tunnie on 06 July 2009, 20:24:40
since my 2.2 is off the road for a bit, i stole borrowed mother tunnies facelift 3.0 estate for my work commute.

Felt a bit funny above 4k rpm, tad lumpy not really pulling well.

Decided to open it up a few times and surprise a few people along the way  ::)

Got back, asked mother tunnie how often she revs it above 4k, the reply, never  :o :o :o

I'll loosen it up nicely this week  ;D

women are mostly interested around them and the scenery, instead of hard revving the engine and depleting the fuel  ;D

Hmm imagine how much carbon and crap must be clogging up the exhaust system. A good thrashing and maybe new backbox might relase a suprising amount of power! :o

I'll borrow it and free it off.  Could do with another car, seeing as it looks like I've got to pull the head off the rover again :(

Better still sell it to me and buy her a 2.0 as she clearly does not need all them cc's ;) ;D

Maybe Mother Tunnie would be better off in a 2.2 allowing her beloved offspring to hoon about in the 3.

Sadly she cannot figure out how to get a manual mig into reverse.

Which kind works as she cannot steal my car, as we have to reverse off our drive  ;D

She knows where the gear is, just can't engage it.

I am missing the manual 2.2  :'(

For some reason it seams more 'chuckable' than the estate, and even though hers is an Elite, it does seam to crash and bang over the bumps more than my saloon.
