I think he had it running to an inverter so he could power up his 19 inch satnav system on his laptop......  :D

About as clever as when my Grandad decided he'd put a huge battery in his moggy minor to help it start. He slammed the bonnet down, pleased with his work, only to see two dents in the shape of battery terminals appear in the bonnet, and the paint between them start to turn brown and bubble up!  :o :'(

Yup, tis for 19" Sat Nav running of Jaime's favorite brand of laptop a Sony Vaio.

I think i should buy one of these:

That should do the job?

Front Fag lighter powers PDA, rear fag ligher for iPod, phones other things. Car battery is for Inverter, guessing that inline  fuse should be good?

A fag lighter will normally supply at least 10 amps, which is plenty for numerous phones, IPODs, etc. Would probably power a couple of laptops too. If I were you I'd get a 4 into 1 lighter plug adaptor.

At the rate Tunnie is going on maybe a small genny in the passenger footwell would be a better plan.

Agreed.....even im not that bad  ::) I woulda used spade type crimps and bolted em to the battery.....actually no i wouldnt.....i woulda found an unused fuse.....in the fuse box inside the car....and shoved a crimp into the 'live side' with fuse inline......as you might have spotted on my omega Mark....its powers my taxi radio.

Joking apart, he could feasably get a PG9 prohibition for it, if the cop dealing had his grumpy hat on.....   ;)

Problem possibly being if both terminals were to earth out on the bonnet innards and cause a short with risk of subsequent fire/explosion....  :'(

Just so you are not ready to start a job, as obviously you won't get ripped apart for ginger hair, or being a loser. Tossers.

And looking at the pic again....im surprised the wires dont melt  :o.....or that must be a puney invertor you've got......mines a 600W one.....and cables to the battery are like jumper cables.
