Feel free to shoot me down for being stupid but like a lot of people on here I want an Irmscher back box but cant affford a new one and they are rare used.
However there are bloody hundreds of V6 vectra ones on the net for 30-40 quid so my question is!!!
Could a vectra box be adapted by way of the entry pipes of the omega being welded into the back of it, I know the mig has an extra pipe going in but could it be done ??????

The backbox's are different shapes, the Omega backbox fits up in a little recess, Vectra backbox's are a different shape. And both of the entry pipes into the Omega's backbox are needed. I suppose in theory it could be done. What is it you want from an Irmscher backbox? I imagine you want the look of the tailpipes. You could buy a Vectra backbox and weld the tailpipes from that onto your existing backbox.
Or keep looking through ebay for an Irmscher backbox for the Omega.

I suppose the look and a sportier sound is what im after, been looking for a while and dont recall an omega one coming up at all or a similar one by another manufacturer!
