replaced link rods & suspension arms today, but seems heavier on steering. will wheel alignment cure it. any advice welcome please. :)

Do you have any power assistance at all,? could be a knackred pump. Is the res up to full mark on dip stick?
Does the steering make any strange noises when you turn lock to lock.?
we need a few more details to help you out here. :y

no to all that, it just seems as if the steering wheel is not centring as it nomally does. i may need it aligning after suspension repair. :)

There is no "may" about it, geometry will definately need doing.

had the tracking done yesterday and it was a long way out. but still appears to be a pull to the n/s. was ok before any work was done. any ideas any one of what it may be.

might sound stupid but do the tyres have the same pressure? and are both front sides of the car the same hight? ie a weak spring
-
If your tyre pressures are the same, and you don't have a brake binding, then I would go back to where your tracking was done.

"Tracking" and a full geometry are two different things, and you won't get away with just "tracking" on an Omega I'm afraid.
