Title: Cortina has gone.
Post by: amigov6 on 26 August 2009, 21:05:25
Bought for £595. sold a year later ...tonight for £750, never spent a penny on her during 2k of happy driving, shows, admiring comments etc. I know classic cars aren't everyones cup of tea but i'll miss her. She now lives in Chesterfield (keep an eye on her Dean!!) & her new owner is a Cortina club member so i'm sure she'll be kept in the manner that has made her last as well as she has. New 'Tinas were 95% fleet rep motors so never loved from new hence a low survival rate todays the classic market. I've only let her go because i want something even older but i've got just the tiniest lump in my throat.
I know i'm gobby but i can show my sensitive side, i'm not that proud & i will miss her. :'(

Really surprised you let the car go, Guy.  You spent a fair bit of time on the car, you valet tart that you are....   ;D

Bet you have your eye on something better though.....   ;)
