Havent had a project to play about with for a while, just seen this, its only 20 miles from me.Would be a real trip down memory lane. The wife would kill me though, she hated that car. ::) ;D ;D

I understand where you are coming from, though not an early Vauxhall fan, would rather have an early Ford ::) that does look a little beyond saving, unless you can find a shell :) Nut we do like to play and our swmbo's don't understand ;) ;)

It would need a shell to do a proper job on it. :y
I actually found my old one sitting in a garden less than 10 miles from where I live about 5 years ago.It was in a terrible state, brambles growing through the floor etc.About a year later I noticed it was gone and then a couple of months after that I saw someone with what looked like a new HSR shell on a trailer behind their car.It was only a couple of miles from where my old one had been sat so I think it was a fair bet that someone was rebuilding it into a new shell.I hope so anyway. :)

Not seen it for a while but near to us I have seen a mint Chevette several times, a basic model R reg :-/ driven by an elderly chap, so body's are around, bit like Mini's and Escorts, lots of fiddles going on, I have seen log books and chassis plates for sale :o
nick find a car and change the identity, a doddle on older cars :-X

Always fancied a Chevette HS, I did have the 2300 VX490 which had the same gearbox with dogleg 1st (left and back)
