Title: Astra problem
Post by: Ralph on 02 October 2009, 19:34:34
I've got a problem with my sons Astra G 1.4.
It starts first time everytime, but it cuts out after about 5 seconds, it will do this up to three times before it will run, it will do this only first time it's started each day, rest of the day it's fine. Thought it might be the air temp sensor but changing it has made no difference. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

You should be able to pedal trick it BTW :y

Brake and throttle down, ignition to number 2 (but don't start the car. Then  the codes should appear where the mileage is normally displayed. E.G. ECN 123456.

Post your results up :y

Managed to get the following codes out of the car.
0400
1505
0351
I beleive the first one is the EGR valve which is disconnected, don't have any idea about the others.
