Hi everyone some of you will recall my posting a few mths ago that I had cancer of the pancreas well its now spread to other organs, liver etc the chemo is not working I have been told that I have weeks to live and Christmas is the target.
I wont go into details as myself & family have been coming to terms of the news and have had some time to get over it, we obviously had hoped I would have had longer but sadly its not so, we knew it was terminal as pancreas cancer is normally.
I went in hospital last week for a "pain block" operation which consists of pumping drugs into my lower back to numb the nerves therfore reducing the pains until the time comes, so never will make the Lakes meet or others, but has been great chatting /knowing some of you over the last 2 yrs.
I'm now going to be selling my 2 Omegas I have a cple of pics taken last year (they still look same) but will take a some this weekend after the cars have been through the wash, then will post on For sale /Wanted adds
Silver 98 Elite 3.0 Est
Green 99 CD 2litre
Details as I say to follow if anyone looking for tidy reliable pair of migs see the For sale adds after weekend
Thanks guys
Willyboy

Sod it Willyboy, what can I say mate? :( I know something of your predicament, i've been through it for the past 2 years with cancer of the eosophagus but i'm more fortunate I guess, I found a surgeon willing to operate & now I have a second chance. My thoughts are with you mate, all the very best (if it means anything) Phil.

I'm so sorry to hear of your circumstance.
My heart goes out to you and yours, I know nothing anyone says at present can soften or remedy your feelings.
I know this from losing my father last week.
All I can say bud, is that you do what you want to do and stay strong.
Frazer.

Really really sorry to hear that Bill. :(
I know you've had your ups and downs Bill, but for some reason I never expected this as the outcome. It happens too all the wrong people. >:(
I remember meeting you at Guys house (I know it was my first OOF meet, and I seem to remember it been your first meet too and hence why we got on so well! ;D), and since then we met again a couple times at the York meets.
I still cant thank you enough for letting me have your cambelt kit off you there and then :y (For those that don’t know: my engine was basically in bits in the middle of a field - tried fitting my cambelt kit but we couldn't get the belt tensioned correctly. Luckily for me, Bill let me have his, which I paid him back for after the meet!) Thanks again for that mate, god only knows what I would have done without it. :y :y
If there’s ANYTHING I can do to help just give me a shout and I will be round as soon as I can, Leeds is only round the corner!
Take it easy mate :y :)
All the best,
Ian

Well Billy I have spoken to you before about this and still I don't know what to say that will perhaps help in anyway at all.
I would like to think that when I eventually go which being honest none of us know when that time is, that I have loved and being loved.
I know from meeting you mate that you have both, what more could anyone ask.
Good luck mate
Daz & Denise :y

Billy, I find myself lost for words (which is rather unusual!) other than to say that you should make the most of what's available to you and your family. As Daz said, the important thing is to love and be loved :y
Enjoy your time together, and do everything you can.

Best wishes to you and your family. A friend of mine in Amsterdam has just hit the same problem a month after retirement at 63.
-
Bill, never had the privilege of meeting or speaking to you but I have to pay tribute to your bravery and dignity in coming to terms with this situation. Best wishes to you and your family, Jon, Sarah, Naomi and Daniel X X
-
Very sorry to hear the news . All the best to you are yours
-
We never met, but just to say I am very sorry to hear this. Sadly I am all too familiar with cancer. I can just hope the doctors are wrong (and they often are - cancer treatment is still much guesswork these days).
-
Hi Billy, it saddens me to hear your news and I really don't know what to say but if theres anything I can do for you or your family you know where to find me.
Pete

I'm very sorry indeed to hear your upsetting news WB.
I hope that in the coming months, whatever trials they may bring, both you and your family are able to face things with fortitude, faith and hope.
In dark time such as these the unimportant things of this material life fall into insignificance and the real value of what we really have shines out - faith and love of family.
My most sincere best wishes to you all.
Parable of Immortality
I am standing by the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a peck of white cloud
just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says:
'There she goes!
Gone where?
Gone from my sight - that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the places of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says:
'There she goes! ',
there are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
'Here she comes!'

Not good news to have willy.
Wish you all the best

Not good news Willy. I can understand only a mere fraction of what what you must be feeling due to being mis-diagnosed for a period of several months earlier this year ..........
