Title: Cam chain......
Post by: bertiecbx550 on 28 October 2009, 22:50:43
Anybody got any experiance of changing the camchain on a 520i auto e34 straight six??? Mines got really noisy and from experiance with my bikes its better to change it before it does terminal damage to the engine....so far 2 garges hve said they wont touch em as it opens up a huge can of worms is this true?? :-/

i was speaking to a mechanic friend and to do the chain on a straight 6 is a couple of days work and the final bill including parts is normally over the £600 mark.
