whats best to look out for and what sort of price would i be looking at
i would be fitting it myself :y

Stag Kit is used by many, good price works well on the V6.
Around £700-£800 all in.

Seconded. PM Lazydocker for details. Plenty of conversion pics on this site. Here's one for starters: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1216678718 :y

I reckon you should budget £750 with a 4-hole cylinder tank, £850 with a spare wheel tank... That should leave you a bit spare if you find you need to replace anything whilst you're working in there.
The car must be running perfectly before you even start adding another item which could go wrong :y :y

ive been offered a complete kit that was fitted to a 3litre v6 frontera last year

Using a second hand kit is obviously going to make it much harder. I wouldn't consider it unless:
1) It comes with all software, leads, etc. to adjust the mapping (especially if from a different engine size) and to debug the system (look at voltages, temperatures, pressures, etc)
2) It comes with a wiring diagram and fitting instructions.
3) All components meet the current ECE67.01 standards and are able to comply with the latest LPGA COP.11. This is important as it will allow you to get the install certified if your insurer requires it.
4) It is complete - right down to the nozzles from the inlet manifold.
5) It is a modern Multipoint injection setup (SGI)
Have a look here for examples of what you should be getting:

Even then, I would replace all rubber hose and all solid pipe and you'll need to budget for consumables such as pipe clips, olives, etc.
Even then, you're in for a much rougher ride than with a new kit containing every part you will need.
Unless the above can all be sourced seriously cheap and you have plenty of time and patience for getting it up and running I would go for a new kit. If you're doing enough miles to make LPG worthwhile, you will make your 700 quid back in a matter of months anyway.
Just my humble opinion.... :y

It probably makes more sense unless the 2nd hand one is practically free.
Added to that, there are half a dozen (or more) of us who have installed Teilo's kit so advice is not far away, should you need it.

How much is Teilo charging for a front end, these days?
