Title: Smelly washer bottle

Any one got any tips on how to clean the washer bottle and water pipes to the screen and lights. Mine stink like a sewer  ;D ;D

wash out very throughly with clean water, several times.

then only use a PROPER windscreen wash additive, and not washing up liquid/ liquid soap/49p a gall screenwash.

All these allow crap to grow in the tank which 1) smells 2) blocks the pump/jets.

Decent screen additive and water .. nowt else.

Do you think a Milton tablet in there would do it any harm?

I've used a milton tablet in the 'van water system to clear out crap .. did no harm .. so I can't see it hurting the car .. unless you get it neat on any aluminium bits ... IIRC Milton and ally don't go well together !!

That's exactly what I had to do.... Then follow the advice above. I also find that having it at quite a strong concentration helps :y :y
