Will it suffice for any testing jobs on an Omega?

Sort of thing I use, but I never pay more than £4  (I keep my expensive ones away from car and use for proper electronics)

Motor factors sell multi-testers that say 'Automotive Testers' on them for a tenner or so, but I never quite understood what 'extra' feature these would have over the standard ones. For years I have been using any old tester that I happened to have handy (I have a few, at home and work) and never felt there was a feature I needed and didn't have... On the car, you mostly measure voltage and resistance anyway, and they all do that, though some are a bit easier to use than others.

So my view is get any one you like, maybe a slightly more rugged one and in bright colours so that it stands out if you are about to forget it in the engine bay... Oh, the other thing is to have long exetnsion wires, very useful when measuring continuity.

I don't know what you mean  :-[ - anyone know where to buy new lead lamps from? Opps.

WRT multimeters and cars, I tend to put them on driveway, forget its there, and step on them....
