Post by: unlucky mark mv6 on 07 December 2009, 12:03:40
Does anyone know if the relays are the same in the facelift as the prefacelift,as i am just off to the knackers yard to rip one out of a 3.0 elite pre face. Its a green relay situated in the engine bay in the big triangle shape fuse box in the very top i think.B.T.W,if anyone needs anything from this motor, let me know right now,and i will see what i can do. :y

All your numbers are almost identical to mine then lee exept the last set of black stamped numbers which are different.Any idea which ones you have to go by,and what these relays control.Part of the engine management maybe. :-/ :y

On the earlier V6's the 2 purple were fuel pump relay and injector relay. As the GM part numbers are the same I'd hazard a guess that they'd work. The difference between the ++0149 and ++0117 would be a variance in the relay timing at a guess.

Thing is lee, would it bugger up any of the engine management system if it were to differ slightly. :-/

If they are printed on, as opposed to moulded into the case, they are probably a manufacture date code, batch number, etc.

The relays are functionally identical though.
