Title: Miggy owners East Mids
Post by: MickAP on 22 December 2009, 14:24:33
Anyone used these for work http://www.kam-servicing.com/ at Sawley, Long Eaton Notts.
I'm looking to just get my exhaust sorted. It keeps leaking at one of the joints. The dealer had a go at sorting it  3 times and I've lost faith with them. And my local exhaust place didn't do a very good job last time I used them.

has it failed at one of the centre box joins? A fix there is never going to last that long, even our mega-bodge on TB's MV6 won't last long.... although his driving might have something to do with that  ;D

Yeah looks like it, it's been bodged with paste around where the clamp holds the joint together.
Been fixed, so I though 3 times like this and it's held out this time about 4 weeks. Exhaust looks newish this year, and was told it has been recently replaced when I bought the car back in Oct by the dealer.
What's the problem with this joint then, if there is one?
Not actually been under the car to look myself, anyway it's just not the weather for these sort of jobs. Need to get it on to garage ramp really.

It's normally a pipe size mis-match that causes this. I've done a couple quite successfully. I'm about Tuesday daytime if you fancy a trip to sunny Dudley ;) :y

PC (Power Crazy) in Lincoln know Omegas very well and do a good job at a fair price. They are in the high street, a little 2 man band & open 6 days a week

Hope this helps

Mick

I have used the one on Derby Road in Long Eaton before and found them to be nothing short of fantastic.

Collected the car (for service) kept me informed of little bits that needed doing and dropped the car off afterwards, nicely valeted (free) too.......!!!

They are only 2 miles away from the Sawley one

Sounds like the exhaust has had it  :'(

Now new is 'recent'? Guess that could be anything up to a year for dealer talk, and some patterns are complete shite.

Might be worth looking at eternal and getting new cat back.....  :(

Any fix in that area is not going to last long, and its going to affect noise and power.

No it's actually very recent.
I had a look today and the system looks very newish.
Still got the labels on, and the tail pipe looks like very clean metal.
Just don't know who put it on previous to the dealer acquiring it, all I know is they won't be getting it back to fix had enough of them. :-X
