how easy/difficult is it to convert my rear manual winding windows to electric?
-
Quite easy, but you'll need the following from a donor car:-
O/S rear window mechanism
O/S rear door loom
N/S rear window mechanism
N/S rear door loom
You'll also need the set of windows switches from the centre console (I'm assuming yours is a mini-facelift) and also check the loom on yours that it has the wiring for the rear windows, if not you'll need the section of switch loom also :y

thanks for the info, will check to see if anyone's breaking a mini facelift. :y

I know I'm a distance away but if you need help doing it then maybe we could get together and I'll do a howto at the same time :y
[edit]Just remembered you'll need the rear door window switches too ;)[/edit]

Dead easy to do, and sometimes the door looms are already the right ones......no big deal if they are not as easy to swap as there is a bloody great big connector at the bottom of the B posts
-
I changed my doors due to rust, and the new doors had electric windows.
When going for the wiring loom connections, they just plugged into the car loom and worked straight away after adding the front switches.

That's Omegas! Everything's just where you want it to be!!
(I am excluding from that statement the Dis Pack on the V6 :y)
