Saw a old P reg Omega est last night on the A27 in Bognor but it looked a bit strange.
The ride height was slightly higher(3-4 inches) with what looked like chunky tyres fitted. When i caught up with it at the lights,on the back was the badging 2.5,V6,4X4.The 4X4 badge was in the same style as the rest but slightly smaller.Apart from having a slightly higher ride hight the rest of the car was standard. When he pulled away from the lights, the front and rear wheels i could see spun as in all wheel drive.
Was there ever a 4X4 omega or do you think some one has made a one off.
Before you ask no i wasn't drunk or asleep,i was working

GM never released one for the UK, might have in Euroland.
Could have been a well done modification, would need some heavy work to get power to the front wheels

That's what i thought.it looked a pukka job and unless you hadn't had a good look you wouldn't realise it was different from a normal Omega est.

Perhaps someone bought this ...... http://www.carandclassic.co.uk./car/C126336?pt=pf and grafted the mechanicals to an Omega B! :-/ :y :y :y

You could pay Ferguson to do a 4x4 version of the Monza, maybe something similar occured here?
Shame it was never a UK model, or am I just being greedy?!

I know a bloke who's got one of the, four I think, Fergusson 4WD conversion Monza's. A very clever conversion with a transfer box after the gearbox, a propshaft coming forward to a modified engine sump with the front diff and drive shaft flanges mounted in it. The lower arms and the front struts are different to allow for the drive shafts. All very clever and very rare!
