How many miles do you expect to do in the vehicle per annum Diane?
-
When I had the pub, I was travelling 180 miles a day to work, but now I have retired I only expect to do about 8k a year, so in reality I do not think a conversion would be for me, unless OOFers have other ideas?
-
I'm no expert on LPG conversions and prices etc.
However, if you're going to be doing 8k a year, I'd doubt there would be much point in LPG'ing the MV6.
No Omega's are that great on fuel, but the 2.6 with a manual box isn't as bad as you'd think. Official figures are 26.4 MPG on the combined cycle.
-
For 8K a year a conversion doesn't make sense at that sort of money IMHO.

8k a year, its not worth it.
I am doing 35k a year and its just about worth it, when i finally convert it. Thats also DIY at £500, take me 6 months to pay it back.

If you are willing to travel that far ... Merthyr Tydfil to London .. may I suggest you give these guys a call.....
They are known to Kevin Woods, as well as the fact that they did my conversion.

I really am pleased with the job they did, and the courtesy car was not an "extra £25 a day" .. it was included. ( it was a tad rough .. but it did the job !)
The decision to do this also depend how long you intend to keep the car .. if you plan on 10 years even at 8K a year you'll have 7 years of cheap motoring. If you only plan to keep the car 2 years it will have lost you money ....

Can you say for me how much lpg tanks?
Hello,
Not entirely sure what you're asking us. There is not any suppliers on here but as a rough price £200 or so for a 4-hole tank and all the fixings.

Can you say for me how much lpg tanks?
A cylinder tank including valves but without any other equipment for the conversion would probably be around £150 new. It obviously depends on size and you could probably add £70-£100 to this if you need a toroidal (spare wheel) tank.
That should give you a very rough idea.
