Title: theme music
Post by: Road Hog Mad on 15 February 2010, 19:19:43
i know the answer to this, but lets see if you lot are as sad as me... the old vauxhall advert theme tune (1980's)... will post back to let you know...

lyrics for help...

"What'll you do when you get lonely
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been running and hiding much too long.
You know it's just your foolish pride.

*****, you've got me on my knees.
*****, I'm begging, darling please.
*****, darling won't you ease my worried mind. "

Heard him playing it in person on Sarurday night. :) 8-)............going from memory I thought Duane All man was responsible for the slide part at the end rather than the main riff, but couldnt swear to it withour looking it up. :-/
Was of course written about Pattie Boyd/Harrison/Clapton. She must be the all time ultimate rock chick - Harrison wrote "something" and "Isnt it a pity" and probably other songs about her, and Clapton wrote "Layla" "Wondeful tonight" and "Old Love" about her also.

Twas a great night Olympia.....
Part one - Jeff Beck, with special guests Joss Stone  (who sounded uncannily like Janis Joplin)and Sharon Corr who was dueting with him - violin/ guitar.
Part two -  EC and his band
Part threee.- EC and Jeff Beck onstage together playing the blues, encore was Hi Ho silver lining which blew the roof off the O2.

A once in a lifetime gig. :) 8-)

Jessice - Top Gear. :y
