Title: Goodbye but not farewell.
Post by: goonv6 on 17 February 2010, 19:41:36
Well, the Miggy went today with it's new owner. He kept asking me, "Are you SURE you want to sell this?" I hope it gives him many miles of trouble free motoring. I move now to my friend's Fiat Punto Sporting mk2. Its got 45k on it with fsh and he's the only owner. It'll be a change for me but it's perfect for the short distances that I will be doing.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of those who helped me on here, particularly The Boy who patiently advised me to change the starter motor in the summer when I couldn't get it going. This forum is an amazing place and I have really enjoyed being a part of it and I hope that some of the advice that I have given on here has been helpful. I don't intend to leave, as I do like to chew the fat every once in a while but I may not be as frequent a visitor.

Thats the problem i have mate,i do a lot of short journeys, but cant even dream of selling the mig.missus had a saxo vtr last week with 42 k on the clock,so we will be using that a lot now, just to take a few miles off mine. :D

No worries with Puntos of Fiats, I've had 4 Puntos and 15 Fiats, 2 Alfas. I love 'em. My wife has a Punto too and they're dead easy to work on.

However, I haven't quite left the fold yet. My buyer wanted the Mig ASAP  My mate needs his car for another month so I have bought a 98 vectra 1.8 for the interim for the grand sum of 230 quid. 12 months MOT. I got under it today to find that someone has kindly fitted a brand new manifold, cat and full exhaust. I'm doing the brakes tomorrow and hopefully it should give me a month of cheapish motoring.
