Title: What battery
Post by: Ddraigcymro on 17 February 2010, 17:55:22
I am about to change the battery on my tractor and wondered what the recommended battery is.
I am removing a;
                       Cold cranking amp of 640
                       with a capacity of 80ah

not being clued up on this, I am confident though that this is not what would have been on the car as standard (mind you the clue im going on though is the gig jaguar sign on top).

So what have you in yours and what should it be replaced with please.

Thank you both for your reply was going to put on

Cold Cranking Amps: 800
Capacity: 100Ah

for the cost of £68.00 inc of v.a.t no idea of p&p
or would this be to much for it; the cca/ah that is not cost?
Would sticking another battery in the boot be safe for a temporary fix as i have a spare battery with cca 595 capacity 66ah , i would probably use household electrical loop wiring to conect the two batteries direct to each other

You can put the 100Ah battery without problems, but check will it fit in the car first!
And avoid Connecting the batteries!!!!!
