I'm 41 but don't drive a miggy no more, I was 34 when I got my last, and can't remember the ones before that.

I'm 41, but was 31 when I had my first one... my girlfriend of the time gave me a hard time when I chose it as a company car above various hot hatches. Needless to say, we parted company (me & the girl, not the car), however she DID like it when we were going on long drives around France, funnily enough....

I'm nearly 56, so not far off :P  Owned a Victor in my 20's, that was possibly considered an old mans car then.

Mick ;)

You get that with most cars though. It didn't matter what I drove, I always saw men & women of all ages driving the same, and it's no different with the Omega.

btw I'm 30.

I have to admit that I've only seen one Omega anywhere that's had a non-pensioner driving it. I think they're really good-looking cars, and I'm 'only' 38 but it does seem that they only get driven by oldies  :-?

Personal opinion apart such language is not warranted and quite offensive to be honest.  Drive a P6B and then post....... :D :D :D  should add that B means V8............ ;D ;D ;D

Im 34 (Just). Always liked the big comfortable cars.

I honestly feel like I know a secret that others don't. My car is very comfortable, amazingly well equipped, capable of 50MPG on a run and in my opinion, very classy when its all buffed up.

Yet it cost me the equivilant of a same year 1.2 Corsa.

Go Figure!!!!

Just about to hand my company passat back due to redundacy so needed a big car 4 doors with a tow bar and cheap to run. Saw the omega was very cheap considering it's rivals were the a6 and 5 series. ( the badge always put people off). Found mine with LPG fitted so ticked all the boxes. And is as cheap to run as my passat bluemotion. Did buy it off a 70 year old bloke but I see it as a route to cheap exec motoring.

I'm 38 so I am in the 'funny old man' age as my daughter calls it.I'm on my second Omega and prefer large cars as I'm just over six foot.I've got no image to keep up either as my kids remind me daily so I don't care as it gets me from A to B and sometimes it doesn't leak oil either.

I'm 51, but got my 1st Mig when I was 36 before they were officially launched. however, I got my 1st new Carlton I was 26, so have been associated with these cars for 25 years now!

I'm 37, only been driving the Omega for 3 weeks now, since I inherited it off my Late Father (who was 73)

I have always drive largish cars since I started driving at 17.

Still also drive a Landrover discovery 300tdi which I green lane and abuse ;-)

And the Omega is far more fuel efficient and cheaper on insurance than the Discovery

58 now - have had the Omega for going on 8 years.

Previously SD1s, Scorpios, Carlton, Cavalier and Austin Cambridge (in my teens). At 6ft 6ins not too many options.

Replacing Mig with VW Phaeton (eventually) delivery date now delayed to 25th March.

I'm 40 now but I've always driven largish cars I find them a lot more comfortable than the hothatches. Although my 3.0l V6 Renault 25 gave some boy racers a run for their money at the lights!!

I've only just turned 27 and recently got my Omega.

To be fair tho, my general opinion was/is that Omega's are less likely to be thrashed about because of the 'expected age of the driver' thing

My other car is a Rover....

....now where is my flat cap :P

I tend to flick about different cars, from the pocket rocket type cars to larger comfy ones. Never liked the really small 'shit boxes' as Tunnie put it (and I guess I know where he picked that up from  :-[), for me its always been Astra size or larger.

When I got my first Omega, the intention was to replace with a Civic Type-R once I'd got back from France.

Good!

Mind you, don't your mob from the Caravan Club recommend inappropriate, small Asian shitboxes to tow vans? ;)

Nope, but had it shoved in front of me when I suggested that Mrs TB's dad's car was too small to pull his heavy van, when CC were saying Astra class stuff from Asia was their recommendation, along with the Skoda varient of the Golf.

Jeez!!!
does'nt mean that OLD means SLOW, some of the 25 odd cars I've had were real road rockets!! (Granada 2.9 4x4 ex-plod was brill)have mostly had big cars, as small ones don't have the ride and comfort I want, with all the "toys" and the ability to tow anything too. Yes, I'm 50 this year, but don't want to grow old with an escort 1.1 in the drive, or an austin allegro wearing a flat cap and tweed jacket on!!
Love the miggy, does EXACTLY what I want, carries everything comfortably, REASONABLY cheap to run and insure, and has every toy imaginable for a modest cost.
NO BRAINER.
