Title: Waving hello to fellow Omega drivers!
Post by: Dimsum on 03 April 2010, 16:22:22
I drove down to Aylesford to see a friend earlier this morning and passed a green facelift Omega estate. As we passed, the driver of the other Omega gave a little wave.. I was so taken aback by this rather nice gesture of camaraderie that I barely had time to wave back!  :y

I just wondered it it was a fellow OOF'er?

I must confess I felt all warm and fuzzy inside afterwards..   ;D

Anyone else experience this sort of thing now and then?  :)

Mmm... Perhaps we should create a special OOF salute to be used when you spot another Omega!!   ;D

Use to get a wave everytime from fellow V-Dub owners back in the 70's ;D ;D

Omega owners, not one :-[
Infact, I spoke to one at a filling station recently about his estate, he was a right miserable b******* :(

Small world huh? I work for BT in Liverpool, office based now but was a jointer for some years. You're better off out of it, not the same company it used to be. :(

LOL, although I don't work for them, you'll still find me on desktop ;)

Done loads of jobs there, most satisfying was probably as a linesman (gave that up when the multiskilling came out - I was useless at UG fault finding (we found out later that the field manager ensured all the ex-linesmen had faulty meggers and moles).

Seems that putting obstacles in your way is now company practice, I think the idea is to depress you so much you want to leave without taking the severence payment. I have 8 years to go before I retire and without wishing my life away it cant comequickly enough.  :(
