I sold my car on feebay a couple of weeks ago.333 views, 23 watchers, lots of questions in the last few hours of the auction. Only one bid, sold for starting price. I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to get more for it. I have never sold a car on the bay before but I thought I had done a reasonable job with the listing/photos etc. - link below

Might just be a case of location, nobody is travel mega miles for a cheapish car. On the possitive side your car sold. :y :y
-
Strange though it may seem, the bloke who bought it came down on the train from Leeds. :-/
But if you look at the link for the second one it looks to me to be worth nowhere near as much as mine should have been ? :-/
-
Whoever got your car has got a much better deal,probably not what you wanted to hear now that yours is gone.As you say Egay can be strange. :y

He did seem very happy, he said he was amazed that no-one else bid on it. Of course I now wish that I had put the start price a bit higher, but hindsight knows everything. ::) ;D
Having said all that, I now have space on the drive for another project, so am on the lookout for a bargain to spend some time on (keeps me out of mischief) and sell on. :)

Isn't that the truth,well it's done and out of your hands now so at least you have the money.(For your next project) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Some cars sell for alot more than they are worth,But give it a week or so it'll back on.I think peoples friends bump up the price.I've stopped bidding on cars on the bay.If i want a car I phone up,go and have a look,Make an offer.Either get it or not.Some cars are already sold before the biddings finished, :y

Personally I think you could have taken pictures.
For example. ::)

Very important to check the correct measurements and if you are not sure check again and again and again and again ;) :y

Def check heel height 3 to 4 inches is a nice girl, and they can be worn in bed :y
Over 4 inches, walk away, she makes more money than you do, doing what comes naturally.
And def no platforms, if she got platform heels she got no chance with me. And I would not want any chance.
:y :y :y
Ahhh in my dreams.

Ebay is strange, or the people using it.
I sold an old bicycle for £35, pickup only.
This woman arrived after a 5 hour journey from York to collect it.
She was dressed in shorts and high heels :o :o :o
I wish ::) ::) ::)
No but from York to Derby for an old bike :-[
Mick ;)

Location is the biggest factor with eBay IMO... I sold my 53 plate Vectra a few years ago and the bloke got a steal... He was amazed he got it for the price he did, over £1k less than he was willing to pay :'( :'(
Still... It went and put paper money in my pocket when it was desperately needed :y :y
-
And just to put the tin hat on it, I got a N.I.P. from Lincs. plod today for speeding on the A1, about 2 1/2 hours after I sold the car. Mr ebay buyer has a surprise coming methinks. ::) ;D

Having bought my Miggy on the 'bay I am not too surprised you got such a low figure for your car Albs, they are just not fetching much especially with high mileage - after having all that good work done you would have been better to keep it a few more years - my 1996 estate cost £500, had done 103,000 miles with a few months' tax and MOT still on it with a 3/4 tank full, and i got the train to Cambridge to collect it, it needed a good service, brakes and tyres (one was illegal >:() ...but don't they all ? ;)
I still have a 96 Miggy which is still only worth a few hundred pounds, but will see me for a few years yet with the repairs done, perhaps i should have spent £1500 on a later model, but that would need tyres, brakes and an engine service as well, and would still only be worth a few hundred in 5 years time... ::)

A mate & I discussed this last night, eBay is a very expensive way of selling a car.
