Title: Flashlube
Post by: albitz on 23 May 2010, 22:00:02
I have heard of people using flashlube on engines with LPG to ensure that valve life isnt reduced, as apparently it can be by LPG use. I havent noticed any of the LPG users on here talking of using it.
Is this because modern multipoint systems dont need it, or is shortened valve life something that Omega engines dont suffer from ? :-/
Not overly concerned tbh, just curious. :-/

Not a concern with Vauxhall engines :y

Entwood had it as a freebie when his was fitted but it's not required.

Ford Zetec engines, however, Flashlube still wont stop valve recession! ::) ::)

When my mig was converted to LPG a couple of years ago they fitted a Flashlube system to it which I initially used. Having read on this forum that it was not required, and also having read that it can upset the Lambda sensors I turned it off and have not used it since with no apparent ill effects.
