Title: 08 Astra Diesel Service

I've got a service to do on an 08 Astra Diesel SRi 150. Anyone know how much oil they hold, i've only got 10/40 semi and I want to put the fully synthetic in but dont want to buy too much ::)

I've found on the Astra Owners Network that it only takes 4 ltrs for oil and filter change, that seems a small amount to me :-/

2008 Z19DTH engine recomended oil is 0w40 for moderate climates
oil and filter change is 4.3 l

Oil filter is at the rear of the engine.

I've done the fuel filter, oil and filter, cabin filter, air filter and gearbox oil change :y

I think the oil filter is cool, its a housing like the facelift Omega but has a nozzel that you can fit a piece of hose to, then undo the filter cap and the oil runs out of the hose into the oil catcher doing away with the warm oily armpit you get with the Omega :)

Yeh, except the rather thing then drips for a week after!

Not if you do it properly :P ;D ;D

I clean it out with pipe cleaners.......its the F-ing Vx dealer that screws mine up (I need the book stamped for warranty purposes)
