Title: roof aerial ? or not ?
Post by: Mr Darren on 04 June 2010, 06:26:29
Hello OOF.  I'm the proud owner of a 2000X 2.5 elite and it has no visible radio aerial, I've seen other Omegas with a small roof mounted item.  Is this normal?  and also, where is my aerial?

That's right - all of the later models had telephone prewiring whatever radio unit was factory fitted. It includes the beesting antenna (connector low in centre console), and a VDA connector taped up behind the glovebox with DC, ignition, audio mute etc. - there's also a matching transformer up behind the fusebox connected to the VDA which allows you to use the audio output through the factory stereo. Adaptor leads for many car kits are produced by AutoLeads. :y
