Title: Eternalcar: 1 Vauxhall: 0
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 13 June 2010, 22:58:16
As many will know, Genuine GM exhausts used to be decent, double skinned items. Due to cost and what not, they started making them as a single skin item, which meant they were no longer cost effective.

Many members have used "Eternalcar" in Germany - who have always produced a simelar quality single skin exhaust, for a much better price.

Well, my estate needed an exhaust, so I ordered one from eternalcar, front to back.

I unwrapped it today, expecting to find the usual single skin exhaust sections...

... I was therefore pleasantly surprised, to find what appears to be a very well made double skin exhaust - it looks just like the old fashioned GM systems used to be  8-)

I guess, time will tell! I reckon they have gone one up on GM, though!!  :y

however, very good news about the exhaust, may need centre sections sooner rather than later, having paid the old good gm exhaust price for the new gm rubbish system. Awaiting pics i think are'nt we? ::)

Hiya Chris,

I had to abort exhaust-fitting due to awful rain... I will take pics next time I am out there working on it  :y

My Eternal exhaust had one good quality looking double skinned box and one oval cheap-looking one.

Can't grumble for the money.

Yep

Fitted a twin pipe system from them onto our 2.6 saloon, Mark fitted it for me and was impressed by both quality and ease of fitment

Both Eternalcar & neu-car-parts are selling the German Tyssen-Krupp products with 2 years warranty and are described in an Email by neu-car-parts as; “made from plate two-layer covered with 2 mm of aluminium”.
Go for price.   ;)

I bought my 2.2 exhaust from them in June last year Zulu, the price had just gone up from £115 so wasn't pleased at the time, but when it arrived, it was a well made bit of kit & i've had no problems with the fit or anything else, apart from the fact the tailpipe is about 10cm short & will need a stainless or chrome tail extender  to clear the facelift bumper (mine looks the puppies danglies ;D) HTH  :y :y

Thanks Phil.  I replaced my original system (the good one) with a Bosal.  I never really got over the difference in quality and sound so am about to change it again hoping for something a bit more substantial than the Bosal :y

Yes M, but as pointed out MANY times in the past, you 6 cylinder guys drive 'proper' cars! and your exhausts reflect that. Us 4 pot owners get 'short changed' everywhere we go!! ;D ;D ;D ;D :y
