Title: LPG Stations and Prices
Post by: Entwood on 14 June 2010, 13:41:02
A guy on the LPG forum is trying to set up  a realistic site for LPG fuel, given that most of those available are way out. this one is done by members for members so has the potential to be very useful.

If you'd like to participate this is the site :

Kind of related, I see neither Total or Shell/Calor/Autogas are claiming to have LPG in Cumbria.  Ho hum.

I'm planning to fillup at Morrisons in Leyland, site is only just off the M6 and was easy to get to last time. Morrisons prices are always pretty good.

Post code PR25 3YR - Olympian Way, Leyland

There is an independant near Penrith .. can't find the details right now .. I'll look again .. :)

They've been responsible for me switching to petrol many a time.

Good call on the Morrisons, though. Will swing by there myself.

Tomtom POI's are crap. They reckon the Shell sation at Broad Hinton is the cheapest LPG in my area ....  Shell exists .. but has never ever sold LPG !!!

Morrisons web site says the Penrith store has a fuel station but not LPG .. unless you want it in little red containers ..  :)

Morrisons that DO sell LPG listed here

But what was the source of the information, as if you used Total's website, that appears to be wrong....

last time i was uo there, some years ago now, i ran out of fuel due to all petrol stations on the A66 being closed at just after dusk!

They hadn't heard of 24hour petrol stations it seems, much less lpg.

However you'll all be more up to speed than I since at least last year. Have they got channel 5 yet? Border television was never so appropriately named.

Anyway, have a good do. :y

Good idea, I've just put Lymm services on there and I'll put Galleywood on there when I fill up at the weekend.
