silly question maybe, rear callipers from a 2.5 gls estate as against rears from a 2.0l saloon. difference?.
::)
-
As longs as both pre 2001, I believe they are the same.
-
i know early 2.0's had smaller front brakes, not sure about rears. :-/

Jamie must've been on something. ;) The vented disc cut off is something like 2001. Your car has the correct solid discs .... like mine :y

so -> 98 - small
98 - > ? (2001 ?) - large
? - end - vented
makes sense to me .. :)

It would apear someone before you has been playing. Your brakes are now modified ..... not neccessarily for the best as the front - rear bias has changed. 2woody will explain .... that's his forte :y :y

Stu/2woody did explain the difference in braking due to the difference in piston sizes between the two. I can't remember which way it was now ie whether you now have more or less braking at the back than it was originally. I suppose it's your call whether you put back to original. There have been various references to vented disc 'upgrade' at the back end, I suspect that it's just to say that you now have vented discs front & back. ;)

TBH, didn't know they were changed at some point, assumed that they were original. My last saloon had solids on the back, thought...Estate-heavier-needs vented. When the P.O gave me loads of bits with car, just assumed they were saloon ones he didn't want.
I think I'm going to change them back...........(the other discs are pretty much brand-new, and so are the calipers)

my 2000 facelift estate is on solid rears,did they change when the 2.6-3.2 were intro'ed
