is this any good ? easy to fit ? , how much am i looking for a set up ? thanks
-
CARiN ?
OK, but dated. Can be sluggish to plot a route with modern disk.
Too old for postcodes, cameras etc etc.
On the upside, superbly accurate, even in difficult conditions (tunnels, high rise, woods etc), and factory fit, and not nickable.
£60-70 for the setup

Depends what you're after... It's a dated system and doesn't do postcode navigation. It is a little fiddly to enter the destination too BUT it will knock spots off of any portable system for reliability :y
Fair bit of work to retro-fit though

Beaten to the response by an Admin in stealth mode ::) :D

Quite easy to retrofit, particularly on later 1998 and all 1999 cars :y

i just thought would be better than silly little cubby hole thats no use what so ever ,seems im specking the car up now and its a keeper for as long as possible , wasnt there a phone kit as well ?

I'm assuming this car is a mini f/l?
The phone was the CCRT700. Good bit of kit but I (personally) would fit a bluetooth kit instead :y

Nope, it may be a 1999 one. ALL 2000 models are facelifts...
