Title: Transit van oil?
Post by: geoffr70 on 12 August 2010, 22:58:57
Hello, I'm doing a few quick oil changes on my dads 2003 transit van with the york 2.4 engine to flush it (hasn't been done for a while). The specified oil is 5w30 apparently. Anyway as I've got loads of GM 10/40 on TC does anyone think there would be any problems using that? I'm doing one tomorrow, then again after 500 miles or so. Thanks.

My CBR engine regularily spins at 13,000rpm with VX 10/40 in it so I cant see it being a problem in a Tranny engine. ;)

If you do regular changes and not the intergalactic distances between changes recommended by Ford then GM semi will be fine all the time :y

That's brilliant! VX 10/40 it is then!

Thanks everyone
