Title: Tech 3 ?

Noticed on an ebay ad tech does not support insignia and another model, and that tech 3 is needed for these. Does this mean tech 2 is being fazed out? Will they add old models to tech 3 or just new models when released, or is the ad wrong? Just wondered...?

Slightly different..

Search for GM MDI

basically tech2, plus more using a 'dumb' interface and a laptop.

Its unlikely they will add older cars to newer diags.  Same as the Tech1 to Tech2 switchover.

yup and software rental to use it, as in TIS + other bits

well its tech2, plus 'tech3 if you like' for the newer cars...

plus pass through for other makes of car, J2354  :y

not as handy as the handheld, self powered,  tech2 though

Does that mean tech2 will come onto the market more often? We need an OOF Tech2 in Iberia somewhere.

If someone buys it I will store it and keep it dust free (or try)

You can buy then new for around £2.5k now ;)
