Title: Friendly Meega Drivers
Post by: Jimbob on 02 July 2007, 08:48:44
Out down to my Sisters in Stone Yesterday, passed slowly in traffic another Estate, in the same (rare) colour (Steely Blue, like smoothomega's) as mine, his was a CDX, got a nice little acknowledgement and wave, pity it was still too fast to sell the forum.

Was this you?

Ive noticed this a bit now, funny how Omega owners often do sort of acknowledge each other more than other cars drivers.

They are acknowledging the shared pain and suffering of Omega ownership.  ;)

Perhaps this should have gone in the 'Botch Jobs' post but I used to own a Saab 96 V4. The one with the column shift and the freewheel lever.

Anyway, 96 V4 owners always used to wave at each other when they passed on the road. Took a bit of getting used to but was quite fun at the time,

I get alot of interest from other drivers, not just omega's, I think that they must be thinking I stole it so they get a good look for any pending photo fit  ;D Gotta watch how I say this cos I dont wanna insult anyone, but where I am there dont seem to be any omega owners under 40 - im 26 so still in the 'he's nicked that' category  ;D ;D ;D

Well, im young but also a dad n hubby so the car kind of suits when were all together, i've loved the omega's since the police first started using them, always wanted one, but could neither afford the car or the insurance or running costs for that matter, one thing I never expected tho was the great following that omega's have, I thought I was all alone, then I bumped into all you guys  :)
