I'm trying to source new seals for my trolley jack but there is no manufacturer name or number anywhere that I can see.
Anyone recognize it? or offer any advice.

looks like a sealey one, not unlike mine but mine is black.
try looking at some on ebay to see if you can find one that looks identical, that will give you the model no. to get a seal kit.
:y

Probably better off scrapping that rust-heap and buying a new one - they're not that expensive :y
-
going by the colour (if original) and the age i would say its an epco product.

That looks like an ex tyre place one? available to the trade? sorry cant help further than that. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . ................................................................................... .......... ;DFNAR FNAR!! my trolley jack is so old it aint got seals!!! it has ball bearings which seal oilways, quality piece of kit, which i bought 2ndhand 27 years ago,paid a lot of money for it then(£50) and could have bought new one cheaper but smaller,
it has had some right abuse, lifts 5 ton, has long reach and high lift, wouldnt be without it!!
service it once a year, with a complete strip and regrease of all linkages and wheels, and a full hydraulic fluid change :y looking back at how long Ive had it and how much i use it, can only say buy the best you can afford it will pay in the long run!!

I was so hoping Chris you were going to be saying where and how to fit these seals... I would have then being saying "Don't listen mate, he broke mine!!" ;D ;D ;D
Spoilt my fun :P

fix it!! it looks fully rigid can't help with i.d but you know when you ut new seals in it it will give another 20 yrs service :y
-
Fix it, I will, one way or the other. You can't buy a a jack as sturdy as this unless your willing to part with a couple hundred beer tokens.
I already have a couple of the shiny 1 ton bottles and a 2 ton trolley but when the big one is working the others just seem like toys.
All of your input is appreciated, though I may not agree with all of your suggestions. :P :P

To be frank, that jack looks like it came out of the showroom a week ago. It's pristine!
All the new stuff (unless you are paying hundreds of pounds) is just not worth buying.
I have a cheapo £30 trolley jack in the boot of the car (I hate the crap supplied with cars)...... I wouldn't trust it for anything other than an emergency, and I certainly wouldn't be crawling underneath the car with just that supporting it.
A decent jack is as important as a decent defibrillator.

I'm trying to source new seals for my trolley jack but .....
Have you looked inside yet to see which seal has failed? I had the same response as you when I asked about hydraulic seals for my 30 year old trolly jack .... buy a new one ... But cheap trolly jacks are cheap for a reason ;) ;)
The cup shaped seal in the actual lift cylinder was replaced for £6 from a place in Manchester. CaptZok will remember its name, I've forgotten :-/, but was called Manchester Seals.

I have not as yet, when not under load it will lift the full height but under load then less than half way, just assuming I had to replace all internal seals.
How do you know it's called Manchester seals if you've forgotten it's name. ::)

Email reply from HTS:
No problem. Send your old seals, we'll match them up and return new ones.
