				Here we go...

Link removed as it points to illegal software.

 Admin.

Now I know that the cry will be "Not as good as a Tech 2" etc.. which is fairly obvious given the price, but is this at all useful, or am I better off with the trusty paperclip?

 Thoughts, please boys and girls?

 Thanks in advance.

hmmm i would be interested in this if only to be able to clear codes, so anybody in the know please advise  :y

-
This is an illegal copy of a genuine piece of kit that costs £600, I have the genuine version. Don't expect the link to be there for long!

You'd be better off buying a MaxScan or a Sealey VS8700 than fake junk really :y
-
I can recommend the ELMScan 5, about £50 and diagnoses/deletes codes.  Has the ability to monitor and log data, but not tried that myself.

-
I use the Maxscan GS500. Don`t know whether this is any good. Anybody used one

that's not too dis-similar (sp?) from my 'Cheapo Tech II' but mine has a serial port plug on it. It doesn't do live data but it has read codes for me set a couple of air bags & reset the ABS light on this Astra  :y  :y  :yMore than paid for its initial outlay of £25  :y

-
Was wondering to get it as a back-up (as it resets the bag light) but it`s only a 1.1 USB interface

-
I keep wondering about the Maxscan fro her Smart, but not sure exactly what I need. The Smart is OBDII so it should be OK  :-/  :-/

Apologies to Admin, as didnt realise this was bootleg. Not endorsing the sale of such things, just thought I was doing fellow oofers a favour! Now I realise I am aiding and abetting!  :o

So it sounds ok to use, but there are 'pukka' ones out there for 25-50pounds. Thanks all  :y
-
Think this is covered in FAQ....?

Its a bloody simple rule. It must be, I can understand it. Anybody can understand it. So why do I have to keep going through editing posts  >:(

"My Naff Code Reader" is not available legally in the UK. Its called Vaux-com here, and is only available from the distrubtor (UKOBD) for around £600.  Opelscanner is around £300, and again not available on egay.  Maxscan is around £80, and not distributed through egay.

So, any brand new, Vauxhall targeted, scanner of any description on egay for less than £1000 isn't going to be a legal version.

 Simples.
