Hi folks, just thought would share this cause I really couldnt believe it, looking to buy my first omega so went to see one yesterday, got a mint vectra gsi to trade in and what did the garage offer me for my car, £800 still cant believe it, was in another garage last week that offered me £2000 pretty gutted as well cause really liked the omega, anyway looks like am back on the hunt again lol

vec c or b?
its rare to find a garage that would offer anywhere near what a private seller would want
might be better selling private and buying with cash
what was the omega up for? and what spec is it?
-
its a vec b mate
I know garages always offer less but just didnt think would be that low, a mean you see them bein sold for £3000 with higher miles than mines, anyway wee rant over lol
omega was £2000 mate, was a 2.2cd

Why on earth would someone pay £3000 for a B when you can have a 3.2 GSI for a grand less

I know someone selling a black 3.2 Veccy C, but he wants nearer £3k for his.

not really seen many good condition vec c gsi's for 2 grand maself, cheapest ave seen is around 3, and the b holds more value in my experience, better looking car etc, their is a few b's on the net the now for 3 grand, mines is one of the last ones made, 2002!!!!!!!

Really? Granted first generation C was not much to look at by the facelifted one looks quite good.

facelift c def better looking car mate but the never made a gsi in facelift form did they, it was replaced by vxr, only meant if it was between a late b gsi and an early c gsi I think the b would sell quicker, but thats just my opinion lol

Regardless of how good a veccy looks it still suffers woeful understeer. You'll enjoy the miggy when you get it, but why settle for a 2.2? You need a proper engine in it :y
