Just saw this on fleabay, and thought someone had resurrected my old car, although closer inspection revealed Black leather rather than Grey. Brought back a few happy memories though. 8-) :)

its a shame, cost lots of money to fix that properly :(

The speedo is digital. All other instruments show digital graphs - a wonderful invention imo.Could also be converted from imperial to metric at the touch of a button. Speedo could be instantly changed from showing 93mph to 150 kph - which could give unsuspecting passengers a shock. ::) ;D

The Senator/Carlton digital dash wasn't very popular. Originally digital was standard fit with the analogue being a no cost option, but was later switched around so you had to opt for the better looking dash. ;) ;) (I can't remember when the change was made :-/)
-
when I changed from my Sennie to the Mig, I looked at the dash and felt like I had gone back in time by a decade or two.
But then as we know Andy - the Senator is the car the Omega could have been. :y :)

despite a tilting column (that the Senator always had ;)) I don't feel comfortable with the wheel at an angle where I can see all the speedo. When comfy I can't see the top 1/3 of the speedo ie the important bit! :-? ;D ;D

Years back at work I had to take a Senator to an auto electricians over the other side of town as it had problems with its dash.
It was idling at 288 MPH and I was driving down Parkway in Chelmsford (40 Limit) at 330 MPH ;D
