Title: To buy or not to buy.
Post by: unlucky alf on 10 March 2011, 21:15:37
Ive been offered an "R" reg elite estate diesel manual, failed MOT on handbrake & headlights last august & left standing since, done 132,000 but no service history which is a worry, its also got a little dink on the o/side wing & one door top starting to go,all seats are heated leather & been told they all work fine, im going to have a proper look & hear it run at the weekend, im just after an idea of what sort of money i should offer on it,,,,anyone?. :-/ :-/

The bloke wont break it Guy, ive had all the waffle about how much he paid for it & what itll weigh in for etc so i figure he`s after top money, he mentioned £350 which sounds a tad rich although i thought an elite diesel with a stick shift was a bit more desirable than an auto. :-/

£350 is a little high, although you'd make that selling a few parts and scrapping the shell ;)

It's worth whatever you're willing to pay... I'd probably offer £250 with a view to settling at £300

£250/£300 tops if you want the Elite seats etc. Once you've made one out of the two & sold/stashed any usable parts you should also make a few bob weighing the rest in. :y
