When I first got my Mig, a mate got a 75 V6 at about the same time. So there were many debates over who had the best car. The 75 to be fair was nice, but I always preferred my Mig!!:y
He's now got a tribe of kids and drives a Fiat cardboard box type thing!! :D I've still got my Mig!! ;D ;D :y :y

as much as the mg was a good car i missed having a v6 auto as i drive a lot in london traffic i was swayed to the 75 as it has a 5 speed auto

i think although i await to be corrected the kv6 engine was a bit ropey on the 800s but was revised for the 75 not sure about the diesels but my uncle has a 2003 75 cdti which has done 350k on the same engine and still runs like new although maybe he is just lucky ;D ;D

I am not sure where you get that number from :-/ However I had a Rover 827 auto, was a Honda engine and it was by far, the best car I have ever owned and that was a 1989 car. I never spent a penny over normal costs, was far quicker than any Omega and totally reliable, only problem was front wheel drive and could 'torque' steer... :D :D
I also bought a Rover 800 2.0L, manual, what a pile of ...... ::) ::) ::)

aghh that explains why its lasted so well

Tis common rail version used in the modern BMW's right now 320d, 520d etc.
Very economical for the car size category.
-
always liked them rovers, had a spate of SD1,s, followed by a few 800,s, then when i was looking for a big classy estate it was a toss up between a mg ztt, volvo estate or a v6 mig, the miggy had the best space and to be honest i think is the better car, but it was a close run thing between the mg ztt or my mv6
