I would'nt throw a bag of sand at myself but if i could'nt afford to run two cars but wanted something a little different then why not? I know the brakes were spongey on mk2's & the front end went straight on if you dared turn the wheel but Veccies are still doing that today.
It's worth what some one will pay i guess, where do you find another to compare it to? 8-)
I like it.

I had three brand new hatchbacks in succession a 1.6 GL, 1.8 GLI and then an SRI.
Great comfortable and very practical cars.
I was doing 35 to 40 thousand miles a year in mine and they never let me down.
Apart from regularily losing the radio cassettes to odious scum who lived in dark places it was all positive .
It looks a good one for that price .

Dragonlord, I have deleted your post as it in my opinion wasn't in good taste.
I am sure you will understand

I had a new B reg estate as a company car, very nice car but paint had to be redone under warranty after about 3 years... ::) ::)
And the petrol models had a habit of failing to start, or even turn over, a wire would come off the starter solenoid, when it happened in my car I had just been to the fish shop for lunch for several of us, fortunately I found the problem quickly.... :y
A couple of years later 'I saved the life' of a young man who was using his Dad's car and was worried about explaining to his dad that the car had broken down.... :D :D
Edit. I aspired to have a CD model... :y

I know it has nothing to do with me but well done for taking the time to explain that a post (or thread) has disappeared.

My dad used to have one of these although Opel.
Nice looking car (was 1.6 SR I think)
But it had recaro sport seats, sport alloys and firmer suspension, and that on roads here was really uncomfortable back then since the roads were relatively in a bad shape.
Also not much headroom in the back seat.

I had a hatchback GL model many moons ago. It was a move up from a datsun 100A. ;D
It was the 2nd car I significantly repaired, I welded a new hatchback onto it, basically behind the rear seats.
Nothing fell off, honest. :D
